Last Friday our Hidden Beaches team held a Caribbean Rum Shack pop up bar in our Witney and London offices to raise money for the Grenada School for Special Education which we sponsor.
They are a special needs school catering for children who are cognitively delayed, autistic or have other developmental disabilities. We are helping to support the school’s efforts to improve the physical structure and conditions of the school, for example repairing blackboards, painting classrooms and improving the playground equipment.
We are also helping them to work towards their longer term aim of extending a wing of the school. The school is celebrating 40 years of supporting not only the local community but children island-wide.
These were our cocktails of choice
Dark and Stormy – Dark Rum, Ginger Beer and a splash of Lime juice
Rum Sunrise – White Rum with Orange and Mango Juice and a splash of Grenadine
Virgin Sunrise – Orange and Mango Juice and a splash of Grenadine
Total amount raised
We raised £241 for their 20th Anniversary in September when we will provide the school with commemorative pencils, with the rest going towards the classroom renovations.
