Finance Analyst, Boston

Salary: $55,000

This is an office-based, full time position with an expectation of working 5 days per week in our Boston office.

The role 
As the Finance Analyst you will work with multiple internal departments in the US and helping to enhance the support provided to the US business from centralized services  in the UK.

Key responsibilities include: 

Controllership responsibilities 
  • Review and reconcile reporting on receivables due from clients and follow up on late collections with country specialists
  • Process cash related transactions for the US office when the UK based Treasury team is offline (including cash allocation, travel credit processing, check cashing and posting, check disbursements)
  • Support processing of credit card transactions (internal usage and external usage - Trade, T&E and FAM’s)
  • Support finance processes related to full and partial trip cancellations
  • Process Finance incoming mail
  • Provide a local contact point for collection of financial information from local suppliers (eg insurance income from third party insurer)
  • Serve as on-the-ground liaison to US Sales and Service organization for Group Finance Shared

Service function – including first contact for all ad hoc Finance questions. 
  • Assist with company audits and year end tax filing responsibilities
  • Support finance change programs including support with communication of new processes and proactively working with the relevant finance function on simplification opportunities & process improvement projects applicable to the US business.

Finance analysis responsibilities
  • Process commission for concierge team
  • Process insurance referral commission
  • Create and prepare ad hoc finance management reports & close control reports (sales performance, margin analysis, refund analysis)
  • Support special projects as they arise
  • Populate charts and data needed for global management PPT decks
About you 
You will be organized, detail oriented, strong attention to accuracy and completeness while managing multiple projects. You will also have the ability to maintain high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, poise, tact, and diplomacy to accomplish work objectives.
Additional experience required: 
  • Bachelors degree with analytical coursework and/or up to 3 years relevant experience in an analytical or finance role
  • Basic knowledge of Excel (must be at minimum comfortable with pivot tables and LOOKUP functions)
  • Ability to prioritize and to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Organized, detail oriented, strong attention to accuracy and completeness while managing multiple projects
  • Desire to learn and grow in a finance organization
  • Enjoys a challenge and is comfortable with change 
  • A flexible team player comfortable to take initiative and be solution focused 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Approachable nature with a positive attitude

Compensation and benefits  
  • Compensation will be commensurate with the experience level of the individual
