The role 
The CRM Technical Executive role is responsible for delivering the enablement of our marketing automation platform, working in a global Performance Marketing team you will drive the development of the platform to maximise marketing initiatives and performance 

Key responsibilities include: 

SFMC Data & Technology Implementation 

  • Support the CRM Technical lead to deliver the Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) development roadmap, aligned to marketing goals that maximises the capabilities of the platform and drives performance and workload efficiencies
  • Enable the marketing automation platform to fulfil cross channel communication including but not limited to email, SMS, push & direct marketing
  • Stay up to date with platform development, driving adoption and best practices across the wider team 

Audience & segmentation  

  • Enable CRM team to implement global & local segmentation strategies  
  • Audience list creation 
  • Contact management  

Channel testing & optimisation  

  • Support the CRM Team to technically implement optimisation plans 
  • Setup of advanced email marketing journeys  
  • Advanced template production focusing on maximising existing content and driving efficiency in content production processes for marketing automation

Automation Delivery 

  • Manage automation processes within SFMC ensuring accuracy and reliability of processes
  • Seek opportunities to maximise efficiency of automations  


  • Maximise deliverability through adopted best practices and monitor closely performance
  • Work with marketing teams to drive shared best practice ensuring optimum deliverability rates

Email Marketing best practice 

  • Keep abreast of email marketing best practice, staying up to date with industry standards and benchmarks 
  • Apply email marketing best practice across all our email marketing activity to ensure optimum performance of our email channel 

About you 

You will have proven experience of enterprise-level marketing automation products, a working knowledge of HTML and experience of working with both customer segmentation and multiple data sets. 

Additional experience required in: 

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • A desire to learn, develop skills and challenge themselves & others 
  • Excellent time management & organisation skills - ability to prioritise and manage workload and deadlines 
  • Self-motivated, proactive attitude 
  • Be a team player 
  • Strong attention to detail 
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills 

Experience desired in: 

  • Experience with coding languages e.g SQL 
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud or similar ESP 
  • Google Analytics 360 
  • Data interpretation & visualisation tools – Tableau, excel, etc.
