The role
We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our Technology team as a result of a major business transformation, underpinned by significant investment in Technology. In this role you will be responsible for automating the building, deploying, testing, monitoring and support of Audley’s cloud hosted applications. You will be an experienced DevOps Engineer with expertise in building CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines; Infrastructure as Code using Terraform; and Azure cloud services.

Other key responsibilities include:
  • Design, develop, and maintain pipelines, templates and scripts to automate the environments into an SDLC for robust, secure and scalable services.
  • Build, implement and extol the value of pro-active monitoring and logging services to provide early warning of performance issues and aid swift diagnosis.
  • Work closely with the architecture, InfoSec, development, and platform teams to cultivate standards and best working practices.
  • Produce and input into technical documentation for all project work and existing systems
  • Promote Agile best practices across teams.
  • Proactively suggest recommendations to continuously improve and drive adoption of the DevOps way-of-working, processes, tooling and solutions.
  • Collaborate in work planning with development teams to providing accurate estimates of work and scheduling and then manage your work to meet agreed timescales.
About you
You are an experienced DevOps Engineer with experience in Microsoft Azure DevOps tools such as GIT, Repos, Pipelines (Classic & YAML), Boards and Artifacts. You have expertise in automating infrastructure as code using Terraform, Azure Resource Templates & PowerShell.

Additional experience required:
  • Extensive experience in a DevOps role where you can demonstrate automating CI/CD pipelines, building environments from code, managing out manual errors
  • Experience of Azure cloud services including networking and load-balancing, API Gateways, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Azure SQL, Windows/IIS and Linux
  • Experience of integrating tests such as code quality tools (e.g. Resharpener), test automation (e.g. Postman) and monitoring (e.g. App Insights)
  • Strong experience of practising Agile (Kanban or SCRUM) and BDD
  • Experience of providing technical support including triage, diagnostics, and remediation of live services
