The role
As the Compensation and Benefits Specialist you will be responsible for analysing, designing and administering employee benefits which are competitive and ensure maximum participation for the US.  You will be the first point of contact for all questions related to reward and benefits. 

You will work closely with the Global HR Director to develop and implement the Reward Strategy to engage our workforce whilst providing them with a comprehensive, appropriate and easy to understand reward package.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Manage and administer US benefits programs such as medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; short and long-term disability insurance; flexible spending/commuter benefits, 401(K), workers compensation and wellness programs
  • Partner with US benefit brokers on the annual benefit renewal and benefit communication
  • Manage US open enrollment process including ADP setup of plans and employee education
  • Manage all 401(k) compliance and serve on the 401k plan committee
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws including COBRA, HIPAA, ERISA, ACA, etc. 
  • Administer all leave-of-absence requests and disability paperwork: medical, personal, disability and FMLA, and interpret FMLA,ADA, and state specific leave laws as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
  • Work closely with the Finance team to review and approve all billing statements and reconcile benefits accounts.
  • Support the Head of HR with preparing the annual benefits budget and analysing variances.
  • Work closely with the HR Generalist to ensure all new hires are signed up to their benefits and assist with new hire orientations.
  • Design and implement reward and compensation policies and procedures that meet Audley’s business requirements.
  • Conduct salary benchmarking through job matching analysis, salary/benefit surveys and consult with recruitment agencies to ensure overall remuneration package remains competitive.
  • Support with the delivery, communication and administration of annual salary and bonus plan processes.
  • Work closely with the Payroll team to deliver accurate and timely information for processing and review payroll reports as required.
  • Work closely with the Technology team to ensure the benefits platform (the Globe) is fit for purpose and effectively managed in line with system and GDPR requirements.
About you
You will have experience of employee benefits including the research, design, implementation, communication and evaluation. You’ll be well versed in managing external employee benefits suppliers and processes and have an excellent understanding of reward principles and practices e.g. job evaluation and benchmarking.

We’re looking for the following skills and experience:
  • Experience of working with a HRIS and/or benefits platform systems. (Salesforce/Sage and ADP are a plus).
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Experience of working in a busy HR team within a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to balance best practice with need for pragmatism and ‘best fit’.
  • Experience of managing internal and external relationships to ensure the effective delivery of reward activities.
  • Ability to communicate complex information in a clear, honest and concise manner.
  • Extremely organised and a keen eye for detail.
  • A motivated and committed individual who leads by example and has a desire to work to the highest of standards.
  • Commercially minded and resilient.
