Although like many industries travel faces much disruption, Audley Travel is uniquely positioned to continue its stellar track record of growth when travel once again returns. Due to a rapid increase in demand we are pleased to be expanding our Sales Operations team. 

This role presents an exciting opportunity to join the Sales Operations team. As a Sales Operations Specialist you will be responsible for the end to end operation of a client’s travel itinerary once they have chosen to book with Audley.

Responsible for all areas of trip operations from booking confirmation up until our clients return home, you will be accountable for completing all operational tasks involved with ensuring a smooth and trouble-free journey. This includes everything from overseeing the initial booking process to issuing final documentation and even stepping in should an incident in country impact a trip.

Working closely with our sales teams (Country Specialists), other Audley Travel teams (Operations, duty office, finance and ticketing), and our partners on the ground (GHA) your aim will be to deliver a high standard of quality, service and trip satisfaction from the moment a client confirms a booking with us.

Through excellent attention to detail, speed of response and accuracy, we want to ensure that our Country Specialists have time to spend with our clients advising on the perfect itinerary and focusing on sales activities and that our partners on the ground have everything they need from us to operate the perfect trip. Sales Operations plays a key link between all areas of our business to ensure that we can deliver a seamless experience for our clients and act as an operational point of contact to our ground partners.

Person Specification:

  • A proven ability to achieve and exceed set KPIs regarding attention to detail, work rate and speed of response. The role is fast paced and requires managing high volumes of work so speed and the ability to prioritise is key.
  • With a strong desire to get things right, you must be a natural organiser who is able to multitask.
  • A keen attention to detail and ability to focus on the detail is crucial.
  • You must be a confident and clear communicator. The role involves working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, so communication is key to ensure speed of response and accuracy.
  • Resilient to changes and setbacks. This is a fast-paced role, so you’ll need the ability to stay motivated, remaining calm and clear minded on the tougher days.
  • You should be able to work independently to given timescales in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivating.
  • Operating a tailor-made booking can often involve a range of complex tasks. As such you should be a proven problem solver with the ability to with the confidence to share your solutions between different members of a team.
  • Understanding how important customer service is, you need to be able to appreciate what it’s like being an Audley client and what their expectations are, in order to exceed them.  You will have a strong track record of delivering excellent service.
  • Have a passion for self-development and to proactively improve knowledge and learn from experiences .
  • A confident, positive and outgoing person with natural enthusiasm and the ability to be assertive when required.
  • Excellent Maths and English skills.
Interviews will be commencing on 19th April with a proposed start date of either 17th May or 1st June 2021.
