Tech Platform Engineer, London;Witney

Salary: Dependent on Experience

We are undertaking a major business transformation, underpinned by significant investment in Technology, and the role represents an exciting opportunity to join the Technology team in either the Witney office in Oxfordshire, or the Shepherd's Bush office in London and as a Tech Platform Engineer you will:

  • Maintain and support the technologies and services in the Tech Platforms area of responsibility
  • Support the Head of Tech Platforms to ensure there is continuous improvement to the service catalogue, future designs and service operability
  • Be a key part of the team providing day to day support for the on-premise and hosted technologies and services in the Tech Platforms area of responsibility
  • Asset Management: maintaining and management of assets along with Capacity Management: managing services and component capacity requirements
  • Metrics & Performance: track performance across the Tech Platforms areas of responsibility. Process Optimisation: standardising and automating services to streamline work and minimise outages
  • Service Management: maintain processes to ensure Tech Platforms services meet business requirements, e.g. deployment of security and operational patches
  • Managing and mitigating technology outages which can interrupt business operations
  • Ensure technology and services are implemented and compliant with controls and policies set by Audley’s SPG
To succeed in this role, it is essential you can demonstrate you have:
  • Experience of providing level 2 and 3 support to end users across an enterprise environment
  • Inter-Personal, self-starter, adaptable, flexible, team player who takes ownership
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with users to evaluate and solve problems and experience working across all areas of Technology to support a 24x7 environment
  • Highly organised with strong time management and planning skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with the ability to build and influence key relationships within the business
  • Stakeholder management and influencing skills across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Effective communication with third party vendors and build strong relationships to maximise operational and commercial benefits
What we are looking for:

Hands-on administration of the following technologies and services in an enterprise environment:
  • Active Directory
  • Avaya Communication Manager
  • Azure Cloud Services
  • Citrix
  • Exchange Online administration
  • Hardware management including: servers, SAN’s, networking infrastructure & end user devices
  • Microsoft 365 with compliance & security modules 
  • PowerShell Scripting
  • Windows Server, including VDI deployment
  • VMware

Administration of the following is desirable:
  • Microsoft SQL Server
